Join us at Saddler's Creek Wines in Pokolbin for a hands-on Plumm stemware masterclass and a long Italian lunch built for lingering. You will start in the Winery with a glass of sparkling on arrival, then sit down with Glennis Powell, a Club Equus member and stemware expert, to taste the same wines through different glass shapes and feel the difference for yourself. It is one of those things you cannot un-know once you have tasted it.

What You'll Experience

A guided masterclass across three Plumm glass shapes, tasting the Alessandro Reserve wines side by side to see how the glass changes the aroma and the flavour. Then we move to the Barrel Room for a shared four-course Italian lunch by Chef Chiero, each course matched to an Alessandro Reserve wine, served the way this family has always eaten. A mystery wine game runs mid-lunch, guess the varietal to win the glory.

The Wines

In the masterclass you taste the 2023 Alessandro Reserve Semillon, the 2021 Maria Reserve Chardonnay, the 2023 Alessandro Reserve Shiraz (95 points, Halliday) and the 2021 Alessandro Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon, each in the Plumm glass shaped for it. Over lunch you enjoy the 2024 Alessandro Reserve Chardonnay, the 2023 Alessandro Reserve Shiraz, the 2021 Alessandro Reserve Cabernet Shiraz and a NV Muscat to finish.
