The 17th Annual Bluegrass Bash at Saddler’s Creek Wines is back, and this year we’re unleashing full Studio 54 disco glam. Sequins, mirror balls, and a dance floor that begs for your best moves—this is the Hunter Valley’s most anticipated black-tie wine event, where Club Equus members and wine lovers unite for a night of pure, unfiltered fabulousness.

Start your evening in our groovy wine garden, where sparkling wine and canapés set the mood. As the sun sets, follow the glittering lights to our disco-glam barrel room—a Hunter Valley homage to Studio 54’s legendary parties. Expect velvet, gold, and a soundtrack that’ll have you boogieing all night.

Curated by local culinary maestro Jonathan Heath of Well Seasoned Catering, each course is perfectly matched with Saddler’s Creek’s wines featuring the Bluegrass Collection—showcasing both new releases and rare, aged gems.

Each course is accompanied with two wines presented side by to compare which matched best based on your preferences. 

Sparkling & Canapés on Arrival
Kick off with a glass of 2022 Bluegrass Sparkling Cabernet (Langhorne Creek) and a selection of chef’s canapés.

1st Course
Seared scallop, lemon and crab risotto, fennel, lemon herb oil
Paired with 2024 Riesling – zingy and mouthwatering | 2023 'Il Franco' Chardonnay – refreshing and citrus-driven.

2nd Course
Duck breast, parsnip vanilla purée, heirloom carrot & tarragon salad, cranberry jus
Paired with 2022 Bluegrass Shiraz (new) – vibrant, and bursting with red fruit | 2017 Bluegrass Shiraz  (aged) – savoury and complex

3rd Course
Deboned lamb shank, confit cherry tomato, baby potatoes, roast button mushroom, thyme jus
Paired with 2022 Bluegrass Cabernet Sauvignon (new) – bold and loaded with blackcurrant | 2017 Bluegrass Cabernet (aged) – layered and deeply flavoursome.

4th Course
