The Sunday Wine Walk is a guided vineyard experience at Saddlers Creek Wines in Pokolbin, Hunter Valley. You arrive at the fire pit, where Chef Chiero is already at the open flame. From there, your wine host leads you through the estate vines, pausing at a food and wine station to taste wines matched to food, then to the table at Mangia for a sit-down lunch included in your ticket. Maximum 20 guests per session.
WHAT YOU'LL EXPERIENCE
You arrive at 10:30am to a glass of sparkling and a welcome at the fire pit, where Chef Chiero serves warm baked Brie over the open flame. From 11:00am your wine host leads you into the vines to a food and wine station, where four estate wines are matched to seasonal bites built by Chef Chiero and the winemaking team. The wines and pairings shift with the season and what's at its best. Through July and August we're pouring the Alessandro Reserve collection. From around 12:00pm you sit down at Mangia for lunch. Live music plays at the cellar door from midday to 3:30pm, so you're welcome to settle in and stay as long as you like.

WHAT TO BRING
Dress in layers and wear enclosed, comfortable shoes. The experience moves from the fire pit through the estate vines - the ground can be muddy in winter. Before entering the vineyard, your shoes will be cleaned on-site as standard biosecurity practice to protect the vines from disease and infection. Open-toed shoes and heels are not suitable.
GOOD TO KNOW
The vineyard walk and pairings run for approximately 90 minutes, bringing you to Mangia for lunch at around 12:00pm. From there, the day is yours - a leisurely lunch with live music at the cellar door from midday to 3:30pm. Stay as long as you like. If you'd prefer a shorter lunch and need to be somewhere else, that works too.
